Landscape Imagined seeks an alternative narrative for travel photography. These works re-imagine Morocco, not through what is seen, but rather through what is experienced and invented. This fictive series questions how we recollect place and construct memories, and highlights the permeability between the remembered and the imagined. In these photographs, photo-collage is used to construct unique and painterly images layered with nuance and narrative which both embrace and displace the original images. Alternative digital colourscapes remind the viewer that landscape is invented through our gaze.
